Wow, What do i see on internet recently, that on 16th July the Winner of Indian Currency Design Contest was chosen. And Mr Udaya Kumar from IIT Madras had been chosen the Winner. The winning design is chosen amongst more than 25000 design contest entries that were sent to the Indian Finance Ministry. The winner was chosen after the contest reached its final stage after 1 year.
Surely this is a great moment in Indian History and surely Mr Kumar must have had a great time being in limelight. The New Indian Currency Symbol will be surely what most of the Indians rejoice as this has become the new identity of the strong financial backbone of India. Many Indians have welcomed the move that a new financial system is represented by the Currency Symbol. Till then the Indian Rupee was denoted by either INR or Rs. Now the New Symbol would be used in place of the previously used signs or symbols.
The desicion came after the Finance Ministry and The Reserve Bank of India decided to give a new Identity to the Indian Currency Symbol, I personally feel that this was a great move as the Indian Economy had been getting increased acceptance amongst the world economic forums. The rising stocks and huge inflow of foreign investments into India had been a result of the opening up of the economic system and liberating the trading system.
The Ra is surely one of the greatest moment in the life of every Indian Citizen who can proudly say that they were present and lived the moment when the Indian Currency Symbol RA came into existence.
